VB-G RAM G (NREGA) Job Card List 2026 - Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin), known as VB-G RAM G, is accepting registrations for rural households under the new rural employment law. The scheme replaced Mahatma Gandhi NREGA from 1 July 2026 and now guarantees 125 days of wage employment per rural household every financial year. Job cards under the new scheme are called Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards, and the complete job card list can be checked on the official portal at vbgramg.dord.gov.in.
Readers can now check their name in the VB-G RAM G (NREGA) job card list 2026 and download the district wise list without visiting the gram panchayat office. All 36 states and union territories are covered under the new Act, and the list shows every job card holder who can get work during the financial year 2026-2027. The list can be viewed online by selecting the year, state, district, block and gram panchayat on the new official portal.
The old MGNREGA was replaced by the Viksit Bharat - G RAM G Act, 2025, which came into force across all rural areas from 1 July 2026. The employment guarantee has gone up from 100 days to 125 days per household every year, and a new minimum wage floor of ₹300 per day has been fixed for every state and union territory. Existing MGNREGA job cards remain valid for workers whose e-KYC is complete, and new cards are being issued as Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards. Every year new names are added to the NREGA job card list and some names are removed based on eligibility rules, so it is best to check the list again for the current year.

What is the Viksit Bharat - G RAM G Act, 2025?
The Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin): VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 is a rural employment law that replaced the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 from 1 July 2026. The Act guarantees 125 days of wage employment in a financial year to every eligible rural household whose adult members are willing to do unskilled manual work. This is 25 days more than the earlier guarantee of 100 days under MGNREGA.
The new Act also provides a 60 day period without work during peak farming seasons, links wage work with water security, core rural infrastructure, livelihood assets and climate resilience, and moves to weekly or fortnightly wage payments. Wages are paid directly to the bank or post office accounts of the workers through direct benefit transfer. If employment is not provided within 15 days of application, workers are entitled to an unemployment allowance.
How Does the Act Help Rural Families?
Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards are issued to eligible rural households under the Act. These cards contain the details of the work to be done by the job card holder or beneficiary. The list of beneficiaries is updated on the official portal from time to time, and anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can apply for a job card. Existing MGNREGA job cards remain valid for workers whose e-KYC has been completed, until new Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards are issued.
Progress of the Scheme
The MGNREGA was launched on 2 February 2006 in the 200 most backward districts of the country, and 130 more districts were added in the second phase in 2007-08. The scheme was extended to all remaining rural districts from 1 April 2008, and the name was later changed from NREGA to Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. Under the new Act, the implementation started across all rural areas from 1 July 2026.
