Mukhyamantri Jankalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojana 2026 Details
This scheme is run by Madhya Pradesh government for children of Sambal card holding unorganised workers. Money problems stop many students from joining college after Class 12, and this scheme removes that fee barrier by paying the college directly or by sending the amount to the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account.
Started in 2018, the scheme now works along with Sambal 2.0 registration. If the parent's Sambal registration is not active, the student's application will not move ahead. So the first thing to check is the parent's unorganised worker registration number.
Online Application Process 2026
Whole process is online, but the printed form has to be given to the college for checking. Follow the steps given below.
STEP 1 - Go to the Sambal scholarship portal at medhavikalyan.mp.gov.in Sambal Scholarship portal and click on the student registration option on the homepage.
STEP 2 - Fill the demographic details such as name, gender, category, date of birth, father's and mother's name, Class 10 and Class 12 details, Aadhaar number, Samagra ID and the parent's unorganised worker registration number.
STEP 3 - Fill the contact details including current address, permanent address, email ID and mobile number, then submit the form. The portal will generate a user ID and password.
STEP 4 - Log in with that user ID and password and fill the application form with college name, course details and qualifying exam details.
STEP 5 - Upload the photograph, marksheets and fee receipt, review everything once, then lock the application and submit it online.
STEP 6 - Take a printout of the submitted form, attach the required documents and give it to the college office. The principal checks the details and forwards it to the sanctioning authority for approval and payment.

Who Can Apply
Rules are course wise, so read the point that matches your course before applying. Basic condition is the same for everyone, the parent must be a registered unorganised worker in Madhya Pradesh.
- Student must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh and the mother or father must be registered as an unorganised worker with the Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh.
- For engineering, the student needs a JEE Main rank up to 1,50,000 and admission in a government or private engineering college on that basis.
- For medical and dental, admission must be through NEET in MBBS or BDS in Central or State government colleges, and MBBS in private medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh is also covered.
- For law, admission after Class 12 in National Law Universities or Delhi University through CLAT or the institute's own entrance exam is covered.
- All graduation courses in government and government aided colleges, integrated postgraduate and dual degree courses, polytechnic diploma courses, ITI courses including Global Skill Park, and paramedical diploma, degree and certificate courses of government medical colleges are covered.
Benefits and Fee Coverage
State government pays the admission fee and the actual academic fee fixed by the Fee Regulatory Committee, Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, Government of India or the state government. Payment goes to the college account for government institutions and to the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account for private institutions.
For government engineering colleges the full payable fee is covered. For private engineering colleges the government pays ₹1.5 lakh or the actual fee, whichever is lower. For MBBS and BDS students in government colleges the fee is covered with a rural service bond of 2 years worth ₹10 lakh, and for MBBS in private colleges the service period is 5 years with a bond of ₹25 lakh.
One point students miss, if you already get another central or state scholarship, only the difference amount will be paid here. Also, the benefit stops if the course is not completed within the time limit fixed by the institute.
