Uttarakhand government has launched a new Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana on the occasion of the National Sports Day i.e 29 August 2022 (Monday). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the Mukhya Mantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan scheme to promote upcoming sportspersons in the state. Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana 2024
Under the Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana 2024, the state govt. will provide a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1,500 to budding sportspersons. A total of 3,900 budding sportspersons including 1,950 boys and an equal number of girls will be given the scholarship every year. The chief minister of Uttarakhand state also appointed eight sports coaches in each district.
CM Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana Eligibility Criteria
Any applicant must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria to become eligible for Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana:-
- He / She must be a permanent resident of the Uttarakhand state.
- Applicant must be a sportsperson.
- The age of the candidate must lie between 8 to 14 years.
The मुख्यमंत्री उदीयमान खिलाड़ी उन्नयन योजना has been launched on the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand. CM mentioned that “There could not have been a better day than hockey legend Dhyan Chand’s birthday to launch the Mukhya Mantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana.
Creation of CM Sports Development Fund
देहरादून में ‘राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस’ के अवसर पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग करते हुए “मुख्यमंत्री उदीयमान खिलाड़ी उन्नयन योजना” का शुभारम्भ किया गया। इस अवसर पर 8 से 14 वर्ष के उभरते खिलाड़ियों को खेल छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान की जाएगी। प्रत्येक जनपद के लिए खेल प्रशिक्षकों की नियुक्ति, खिलाड़ियों को वित्तीय लाभ दिये जाने हेतु “मुख्यमंत्री खेल विकास निधि” की स्थापना की भी घोषणा की गयी।
Chief Minister’s Sports Development Fund has been created to give quick financial benefits to the players in accordance with rules and a 4% reservation for skilled players in state services. Dhami said the contractual trainers of the Uttarakhand sports department would be given an honorarium at par with the honorarium payable to the contractual trainers of the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
