Major Announcements Under HP Special Relief Package 2025

Highest-Ever Relief for House Owners

The compensation for a fully destroyed house has been raised to ₹7 lakh, a massive jump from the previous ₹1.3 lakh. Partially damaged houses will now get ₹1 lakh. Shopkeepers and dhaba owners can also claim ₹1 lakh for damages.

Increased Aid for Livestock and Farmers

  • Cattle owners who lost cows or buffaloes will receive ₹55,000 per animal (previously ₹37,500).
  • Owners of goats, sheep, pigs, and lambs will now get ₹9,000 per animal, covering all lost animals (not just 3 as in the central relief manual).
  • For destroyed polyhouses, ₹25,000 is being given, and ₹50,000 for cleaning silt from homes.
  • Compensation for agricultural/horticultural land loss is now ₹10,000 per bigha, and for cleaning silt, ₹6,000 per bigha.
  • Crop loss compensation has also been increased to ₹3,000 per bigha.

Support for Tenants and Belongings

Tenants who lost their belongings can now receive ₹50,000. House owners will get ₹70,000 for loss of personal property due to disaster.

More Support for All Disaster Victims

The Cabinet acknowledged the pain and loss caused by recent disasters and called on citizens to contribute to the Aapada Rahat Kosh (Disaster Relief Fund) for ongoing support.
