Andhra Pradesh government has announced to launch a new Family Card scheme. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to design this card just like Aadhaar card, but with a focus on welfare schemes. The main aim of this AP family card scheme is to bring more clarity in the delivery of schemes and make sure every family gets the right benefits without confusion.

What is Andhra Pradesh Family Card?
Family Card will be a new card which will be given to each resident of the state and will work as a single document to track all welfare support that a household receives. Every family will also be given a family score, which will help in monitoring social and financial upliftment. The government believes this step will not only reduce misuse of schemes but will also help identify the real poor families who need support.
This family card system is also expected to help in balancing welfare benefits among different communities like BCs, SCs, and OCs. Families that are left behind within these groups will be tracked and given more focus.
