To keep quality high, the technology or software should be acquired from premier national institutes such as Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), National Institutes of Design (NIDs), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), and other institutes set up by the Government of India or the Government of Rajasthan.
Eligibility
To qualify, the micro or small enterprise must operate within Rajasthan and meet the following conditions:
- The enterprise must hold a valid Udyam Registration Certificate as per the MSME Development Act 2006.
- The acquisition can include drawings, designs, plant machinery, or software linked to the manufacturing process.
- The business must clearly show how the acquisition improves its performance. Simply buying machinery is not enough.
- The enterprise must be in active commercial production when payment is being claimed. Closed units are not eligible.
- If multiple similar machines are purchased, assistance can be claimed for only one machine of a similar nature.
For example, if a business that runs a small electronics shop buys a new automated testing tool, it must show how the tool cuts production cycle time or reduces waste by at least 10% to qualify.
Performance improvement must be certified by a Chartered Engineer by comparing the average figures from three months before the equipment installation with three months after.
