Eligibility

To get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Naunihal Chatravritti Yojana, the parent worker and the child both need to meet a few conditions. The registration status of the parent and the current admission of the child are the two main points checked at the time of application.

  • The parent must be a registered construction worker under the Chhattisgarh BOCW Welfare Board and must have worked as a construction worker for at least 90 days in the year before the date of application.
  • Only the first two children of the registered worker are eligible. The third child or beyond does not qualify under this scheme.
  • The child must be currently enrolled and studying in a recognised educational institution. There is no minimum mark requirement to apply.
  • Children studying under the Bal Shram (child labour) project are also eligible, as per their current class.

A student who is already getting a scholarship from any other government department or institution for the same purpose must choose only one scheme. Both scholarships cannot be availed at the same time. Engineering or Medical students who drop out within one year of admission have to return the scholarship amount they received.

Application Process

The registered construction worker applies on behalf of the child. Before starting the application, the parent must collect the Principal Certificate from the child's school or college in the prescribed format, because this is a required document. Applications open at the start of every academic session and must be submitted by 31 December of that year.

STEP 1 - Visit the child's school or college and collect the Principal Certificate in the prescribed format. The certificate must carry a serial number, date, and confirmation that the child is admitted in the current academic year. Without this certificate, the application cannot be completed.

STEP 2 - Open the official Shramev Jayate portal at shramevjayate.cg.gov.in on your phone or computer, and go to the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board section.

STEP 3 - Click on the Apply option, enter your BOCW registration number, select your district, and choose Mukhyamantri Naunihal Chatravritti Yojana from the scheme list.

STEP 4 - Fill in the child's details, including name, class or course currently studying, and the name of the educational institution.

STEP 5 - Upload original scanned copies of all required documents, review the details, and submit the application. Note down the application reference number for checking the status later.

Workers who find it difficult to apply online can also use the Shramev Jayate mobile app or visit their nearest Choice Centre (Lok Seva Kendra), Shram Sansadhan Kendra, or the Labour Office under whose jurisdiction their registration falls. The application status can be checked online at shramevjayate.cg.gov.in using the application reference number.
