PM Surya Ghar loan limit is 2 lakhs for 3 kW solar capacity

Electrical Department Longleng held an awareness programme on Seva Setu Abhiyan and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana on 14 October 2026 at DPDB Hall, Longleng.

C Mhaden Yanthan from SBI said the maximum loan limit for rooftop solar is 2 lakhs for a 3 kW capacity. Applicants must be between 18 and 65 years old. The maximum loan tenure is 10 years.

Shilunaro Jamir from M/S Shan Enterprises explained how to apply for the rooftop solar subsidy. She gave details on approval and installation steps. She also shared the timeline for releasing the subsidy cash.

C Mhaden Yanthan clarified that banks do not handle subsidy claims. Individuals must claim the subsidy directly from the portal.
