Odisha Cabinet approves BOITA and BASUDHA schemes
Odisha Cabinet approved BOITA and BASUDHA scheme during its 47th meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan. BOITA helps conserve historic irrigation projects and builds tourism. Revised BASUDHA scheme will supply safe drinking water to at-risk rural areas from 2026 to 2029.
Additional approvals
Cabinet also approved Panchasakha Shiksha Setu Yojana to run from December 2024 to March 2029. Also, a five-year plan to install 1.5 lakh deep borewells across 256 blocks in 26 districts got approval, aiming to provide irrigation for 7.5 lakh hectares.
