Odisha launches Commercial Layer Farming Scheme with Rs 10 crore subsidy

Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik started the Commercial Layer Farming Scheme (CLFY) on World Egg Day 2026. This scheme offers money help for modern, fully automatic commercial layer and pullet farms that have more than 25,000 birds.

Money help details

• Business owners can get up to Rs 10 crore as money help.
• Upfront money help will go through special Mirror Accounts to lower bank loan interest costs.

More poultry schemes in Odisha

Odisha also helps smaller poultry farms. Under Pranisampad Samridhi Yojana for 2026-27, 43,000 eligible people get full money help for small backyard poultry. Duck farms can get up to Rs 2,64,000. Semi-commercial farms with 1,000 to 4,000 layer birds get 50% to 60% money help, up to Rs 19,74,000.

Before this, Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana gave up to Rs 1 crore for big farms. Now, CLFY raises this limit to Rs 10 crore for automatic farms with more than 25,000 birds.
