Odisha to build 2.91 lakh additional houses under Antyodaya Gruha Yojana
Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi announced building 2,91,666 extra houses under Antyodaya Gruha Yojana. Scheme timeline extended by two years, now up to 2029.
Total budget stays the same at ₹7,550 crore. But ₹3,500 crore earlier meant for repairs now goes to new house construction.
Updated incentives for finishing on time
Govt revised rewards for those completing construction within the set time:
- Finish in five months, get ₹35,000.
- Finish in seven months, get ₹20,000.
State asked Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Dept to survey and find new eligible people. Those who got ₹48,500 or less, plus other qualified applicants, will be added to the scheme.
