Nagaland PMGSY-III: Zero roads done, deadline extended to 2028
Nagaland has not completed a single road under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Phase III. PWD Minister G Kaito Aye told the Assembly on Wednesday. Work orders for Batch I went out in March 2024, and Batch II in January 2025. Actual work started only in February 2026.
Delays happened because of contractor mobilization for FDR technology, monsoon disruption from May to October 2025, OMMAS portal lock from March 2024 to April 2025, and the move to SNA-SPARSH system. The Ministry has extended the completion deadline to March 31, 2028. The state government says it will finish the work before the revised deadline.
