Nagaland observes 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2026 throughout September

Nagaland is holding the 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2026 in September with the theme Hamari Anganwadi, Hamari Jimmedari. The campaign focuses on food variety, protein intake, and serving hot-cooked meals at Anganwadi Centres.

Campaign priorities

State government departments are working together on five main areas:

• Food variety and enough protein
• Fresh, hot-cooked meals at Anganwadi Centres
• Community ownership and responsibility
• Early childhood nutrition and care
• 10-year mark of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

Work includes cooking healthy recipes, Poshan Melas, and changing the weekly menu. The campaign also focuses on the first 1,000 days of a child's life, stressing early care. Awareness and enrolment drives are happening to help with registration and DBT payments for eligible people.
