Promotion of Tiatr Related Activities is a state scheme of Tiatr Academy of Goa that gives cash support to cultural institutions and individuals for organizing Konkani musical shows, singing competitions, acting competitions, and programs that honor local tiatr artistes. This scheme is managed under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, government of Goa, and covers events staged in villages and towns across the state.

For the current financial year 2026-27, the academy continues to accept applications for musical shows, singing and acting competitions, one act plays, and special programs that remember the contribution of tiatr artistes who have passed away or are no longer performing. Interested applicants can apply offline by submitting the prescribed form to the Tiatr Academy of Goa office at least 8 to 30 days before the event date, depending on the category selected.

People who organize these activities locally can claim reimbursement of their approved expenses after the event. 1. Stage the program free of charge for the public. Sponsorship from businesses or other sources is allowed.

3. Display a backdrop of minimum 6 feet x 10 feet with the Tiatr Academy of Goa logo and the collaboration note.
4. Keep scripts, lyrics, and speeches respectful, with no adverse remarks against any government, individual, institution, caste, creed, or religion.
5. Finalize the Chief Guest or Guest of Honour with Tiatr Academy of Goa. President or Vice President of the Academy will be the Chief Guest or Guest of Honour at the function.

Eligibility

Any cultural institution or individual in Goa who wants to promote tiatr art in their local town or village can apply. For example, a local organizer in Panaji who wishes to host a Konkani musical show must keep the scripts original, arrange a band with at least 5 instruments, and submit typed lyrics 30 days in advance.

Main requirements for applicants are given below.

• Organize the activity within the local town or village of the applicant.
• Keep all performances free of cost for the public.
• Include at least 15 participants for singing competitions.
• Submit typed lyrics, scripts, and competition rules within the required windows of 8 to 30 days.
• For programs celebrating a tiatr artiste, the writer or director should have staged at least 20 tiatrs, and the actor or other artistes should have performed in at least 100 tiatrs.

Application Process

You can apply for this scheme only through the offline process. There is no online registration facility for this scheme. Follow the steps given below to submit your application.

STEP 1 - Download or collect the prescribed application form. You can get the form from the office of Tiatr Academy of Goa, or download it from the official website of the academy at tiatracademyofgoa.com. STEP 2 - Fill out the form carefully and attach self-attested copies of Aadhaar Card and PAN Card. For musical shows and singing competitions, attach typed lyrics of the songs and the script of comedy skits. For competitions, attach a copy of the competition rules. If you are not the director or writer of the activity, attach a No Objection Certificate from the director or writer.

STEP 3 - Submit the completed application to the Tiatr Academy of Goa office at AS-1 / AS-4, Block A, 2nd Floor, Campal Trade Centre, Opposite Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji, Goa - 403001. Submit musical show applications and acting or one act play competition applications at least 30 days in advance, singing competition details at least 8 days in advance, and programs celebrating tiatr artistes at least 15 days in advance. Applications are considered on a first come first serve basis, subject to availability of funds.
