Mukhyamantri Aadim Jan Jati Pension Yojana is a social security scheme of the Government of Jharkhand that gives monthly financial support to primitive tribal families. Under this scheme, an eligible family receives ₹1,000 every month, and the amount goes directly to the bank account of the adult married woman of the family. If a family has no married woman, the male head of the family can receive the pension.

The scheme is looked after by the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Government of Jharkhand. It was launched on 08-07-2015 and continues to support families belonging to recognised primitive tribal groups across the state. The pension is a family-based benefit, which means only one pension is given to each eligible family and not to every member.

Mukhyamantri Aadim Jan Jati Pension Yojana - Introduction

Mukhyamantri Aadim Jan Jati Pension Yojana is a dedicated scheme for the most at-risk tribal communities of Jharkhand. These communities, known as Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), have a small population and a pre-agricultural way of life. The scheme helps these families manage their daily expenses with a regular monthly pension.

The pension is mainly for the adult married woman of the family. When there is no adult married woman, the male head of the family can get the benefit. This structure makes sure the support reaches the family that needs it most. Earlier known as Aadim Jan Jati Pension Yojana, it remains a main part of the state's social security support for tribal families.

The pension amount is paid through the Aadhaar-Based Payment System (ABPS) and the Public Financial Management System (PFMS). Because of this, the money reaches the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account in a clear and easy way.
