STEP 1 - Visit official RTE portal of Chhattisgarh at http://eduportal.cg.nic.in/RTE/.

STEP 4 - Fill complete details in the form and click the "आगे बड़े" button to submit it. After submitting, candidates can take a printout of the completed form for future reference, and corrections can still be made in the filled application before the nodal verification stage.

RTE Chhattisgarh Admission 2026-27 Full Schedule
Admission process this year is being held in three phases. Below is the schedule for each phase, based on the notice released by School Education Department:
- Phase 1 - Student registration and nodal verification ran from 16 February to 31 March 2026, followed by lottery and seat allotment from 13 April to 17 April 2026, and school admission from 1 May to 30 May 2026.
- Phase 2 - New school registration and DEO verification took place from 2 to 16 June 2026, student registration from 20 to 30 June 2026, and nodal document verification from 1 to 8 July 2026.
- Phase 3 - Online application for remaining vacant seats is open from 22 July to 5 August 2026. Nodal verification, lottery and counseling will happen between 10 and 14 August 2026, and admission of selected children will be completed between 17 and 25 August 2026.
Raipur district has the highest number of reserved seats this year at 3,204 across 824 private schools, out of which 2,458 seats were filled in the first two phases. Bilaspur, Durg, Balrampur and Mungeli districts also have a good number of seats still open for the third phase.
RTE Chhattisgarh Admission Eligibility and Documents Required
Child applying under RTE quota in Chhattisgarh must be a resident of the state, aged between 3 and 6.5 years, and belong to SC, ST, OBC or EWS category. Following documents are required while filling the online form:
- Birth certificate of the child as proof of age.
- Caste certificate for SC, ST or OBC category applicants.
- Income certificate for EWS category applicants.
