Goa government has started the Mahila Digital Sashaktikaran Yojana to help women across the state gain important digital skills. The scheme aims to make women more confident in using smartphones, online platforms, and government services. Launched by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant at PAC Hall Secretariat, Porvorim, the scheme will especially focus on women living in rural and under-served areas.
Women of age 18 years and above who have been living in Goa for at least 15 years can get free training under this scheme. Training will be provided in local venues like panchayat halls, schools, and community spaces through empanelled IT Knowledge Centers (ITKCs), Common Service Centers (CSCs), and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

Key Features of the scheme
- ₹500 per participant is allocated for the training program, which covers payments to ITKC, CSC, or CSC-VLE (80%) and ITG (20%).
- An additional ₹100 per participant is given to CSC and CSC-VLE when training is held in public venues like panchayat halls, school halls, or religious community halls.
- The scheme will run for 3 years.
- This scheme is being implemented by Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ITG).

Mahila Digital Shashaktikaran Yojana includes the Mahila Cyber Saksharta Course, a 12-hour programme comprising 2 hours of theory and 10 hours of practical training. On completion, participants will receive an e-certificate.
