NEW SCHEME: Rs 1000 Berojgari Bhatta Yojana – Bihar government has announced new updated to its Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana to provide Berojgari Bhatta (Unemployment Allowance) of Rs. 1000 to unemployed youth. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced that under this scheme, graduate youth of the state will get ₹1000 every month for up to two years. The money will help them in job search, preparing for exams, and learning new skills.
This step is part of the Saat Nischay Yojana, which focuses on youth empowerment and employment. Earlier, this benefit was given only to intermediate pass students, but now graduates from Arts, Science, and Commerce streams will also get it. The main aim is to make youth independent, job-ready and to support the state’s target of creating one crore jobs in the next five years.

Application for this scheme can be done through the official youth mission portal using the following step by step process:
STEP 1: Go to the official website of Bihar government for youth programs at 7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in.
STEP 2: Click on “New Applicant Registration” and register yourself by filling personal details like name (As per SSC), Aadhaar, mobile number, and email ID details as shown in the below registration form.

STEP 3: After registration, login to the portal, Select the “Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana” and upload the required documents such as Aadhaar card, graduation certificate, and bank details.
STEP 4: After completing the form, submit it online and note down your registration number.
STEP 5: Visit your District Registration and Counseling Center (DRCC) within 60 days of applying for verification with all the original documents.
STEP 6: Once documents are verified, you will start getting ₹1000 per month directly into your bank account.

Guidelines of Scheme
Eligibility for Bihar Berojgari Bhatta Yojana
- Applicant should be a resident of Bihar.
- Age should be between 20 to 25 years.
- Must have completed graduation in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized institution.
- Should not be doing any government, private or self-employment.
- Should not be enrolled in further studies.
Age Limit
Only youth between 20 to 25 years can apply for this scheme. If a candidate is below 20 or above 25, they will not be eligible.
Document List
The applicant must affix his/her photo and sign the application form PDF and appear at the District Registration and Counseling Center with the original documents along with self-attested copies of the following:
- Certificate related to passing Class 12 or its equivalent examination.
- Certificate related to passing Class 10 or its equivalent examination, in which the applicant’s date of birth is mentioned.
- Residential certificate.
- Bank account passbook copy (from a scheduled bank) in the applicant’s name, showing the account number, name, address, and branch details, along with the IFSC code clearly printed.
- Aadhaar card / Aadhaar enrollment number (EID) slip.
- Certificate from the school/college confirming passing of Class 12.
Applicant must also link their Aadhar number with mobile number given in the application form.
