Eligibility

To qualify for this support, the applicant should meet the following conditions:

  1. The applicant must be a ward of an unemployed ESM or a ward of a widow of an ESM.
  2. The applicant must be registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry.
  3. The ward must study in a government-recognized institution.
  4. The scheme covers no more than two wards per family of an unemployed ESM or a widow of an ESM.

Exclusions

This allowance cannot be claimed in the following cases:

  • The ward is repeating the same class.
  • The ward is already receiving an academic scholarship.
  • The ward is currently getting tuition fee reimbursement from any other source.

Application Process

The application is made offline. Here are the steps to follow:

STEP 1 - Download the prescribed application form from the official portal and take a printout.

STEP 2 - Fill in all the required details, paste a recent passport-sized photograph, and attach self-attested copies of all the required documents.

STEP 3 - Submit the completed application in person at the Rajya Sainik Board, Jawan Bhawan, Department of Sainik Welfare, 261, Lawspet Main Road, Pakkamudianpet, Puducherry - 605013.

STEP 4 - Collect the acknowledgment receipt given by the authorities after submission.
