6 Odisha ADMs Get Notices Over PMFBY CCE Data

Odisha's Cooperation Department has issued show-cause notices to the Additional District Magistrates of Bhadrak, Sundargada, Baleshwar, Dhenkanal, Angul and Gajapati over offline Crop Cutting Experiments (CCEs) during Rabi 2025-26 under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).

From Kharif 2025, the Government of India required CCE data captured through the CCE-Agri App for yield calculation and loss assessment. Offline data was allowed as a one-time exception for Kharif 2025, but the government refused to allow offline Rabi 2025-26 data to be uploaded to the National Crop Insurance Portal. Insured farmers in the six districts risk losing compensation.

The notice, dated October 27, directs the ADMs to explain within seven days of receiving it why the rules were not followed and what steps have been taken or are planned. Further departmental action may be recommended if they do not reply.

The report says districts including Boudh, Debagada, Nuapada and Nayagada recorded more than 100% online CCEs, while the six districts were at the bottom.
