Who Are UP Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Beneficiaries

This accidental insurance scheme covers the following persons:-

  • Account holder and joint account holder farmers whose names are recorded in the land records (Khatauni).
  • Earning family members whose main source of livelihood is the agricultural income from the land recorded in the name of the account holder or joint account holder.
  • Landless farmers who do farming on land taken on patta or on lease.
  • Bataidars who work on other person's fields and share the crop after it is harvested.

How to Submit UP Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Application Form

Farmers or their family members can apply for the scheme through both online and offline methods. The application must be submitted within 45 days of the accident. The application form needs details of the deceased or disabled farmer, the date and cause of the accident, and the applicant's name, relation, address, mobile number, Aadhaar number and bank account details.

STEP 1 - Visit the Tehsildar or Lekhpal office of the area within 45 days of the accident and get the application form of the scheme.

STEP 2 - Fill the form with the applicant's name, date of birth, father's name and Aadhaar number. Attach the required documents like FIR copy, postmortem report and land records.

STEP 3 - Submit the application to the Tehsil Officer. After verification, it is forwarded to the District Agriculture Officer for further processing.

STEP 4 - After the verification is complete, the support amount is transferred directly to the bank account of the farmer or the family member through DBT.

Time Frame to Apply for UP Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana

All the farmers or their family members can apply for the scheme within the given time frame:-

  • Application needs to be submitted within 45 days of the accident.
  • However, the collector can give an additional time frame of 1 month or 30 days.
  • Applications submitted after 75 days would not be considered for support.

Assistance Amount under UP Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana 2026

In case of accidental death or complete disability of the farmer, the family gets up to ₹5 lakh. For partial disability, the amount is ₹2.5 lakh. If the farmer is already covered under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana or PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, then the total amount to be given to the farmer's family would be the remaining amount. For example, if a family gets ₹2 lakh from another insurance scheme, then the state government will pay the remaining ₹3 lakh under this scheme to make it a total of ₹5 lakh.
