UP Farmer ID Registration is now urgent for all farmers in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has made it clear that from May 15, 2026, no farmer without a valid Farmer ID will get fertiliser subsidies, seeds, or benefits under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The deadline to register is April 30, 2026, and missing it could mean losing out on the next PM-Kisan instalment and other key farm benefits.
The registration is completely free and is done online at upfr.agristack.gov.in. Over 85 lakh farmers in UP are still not registered, and the state is running a mission-mode campaign with camps in every gram panchayat to make sure every farmer gets their unique Farmer ID before the deadline hits.
What is UP Farmer ID?
Farmer ID (also called Kisan Pehchaan Patra) is a unique digital identity number given to farmers in Uttar Pradesh under the UPFR AgriStack system. It links a farmer's personal details, Aadhaar, land records, and bank account into one digital profile. Think of it like an Aadhaar card, but specifically for farmers and their farm activities.
Once registered, farmers do not need to carry documents or visit multiple offices for every government scheme. The Farmer ID acts as the single entry point for PM-Kisan payments, fertiliser subsidies, crop insurance under PMFBY, Kisan Credit Card loans, and future agricultural schemes. The system is part of India's Digital Agriculture Mission and is operated through the official portal upfr.agristack.gov.in.

Register Offline at CSC or Camp
Farmers who are not comfortable with online registration can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or one of the government-run registration camps. The state has set up camps in every Gram Panchayat by April 15, with special drives in villages where registration is low. Officers at these camps will help complete the entire process for you. CSCs may charge a small fee of ₹20-50 for their help, but the registration itself is free. Carry all original documents and their photocopies when visiting.
Eligibility for UP Farmer ID
Not every person can get a Farmer ID. You must meet these basic conditions to be eligible for UP Farmer Registry registration.

Latest Updates - April 2026
As of April 2026, the UP government has announced that over 85 lakh farmers in Uttar Pradesh are still not registered in the Farmer Registry. The state has completed about 71% of total target registrations. To close this gap, a mission-mode campaign is running from April 6 to April 30, with registration camps in every Gram Panchayat, village-level special drives, and involvement of local panchayat heads and public representatives.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also flagged the slow pace of registration across states and directed all states to complete the process within two months. The government's message is direct: No Farmer ID, No Benefits. From May 15, 2026, both fertiliser distribution and PM-Kisan payments will require a verified Farmer ID, and farmers who miss the April 30 deadline may be excluded from the next instalment cycle. The PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana and other new central farm schemes are also expected to be linked to Farmer ID going forward.
