Telangana government's Rythu Bharosa scheme gives farmers Rs 12,000 per acre per year as investment support, paid in two equal installments of Rs 6,000 for Kharif and Rabi seasons. The scheme, earlier known as Rythu Bandhu, was renamed and restructured in January 2025 with a higher support amount.

For the 2026 Kharif cycle, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy released the first tranche of Rs 3,590 crore on 22 March 2026, crediting Rs 6,000 directly to nearly 70 lakh farmers. The Rabi installment for 2026 is expected to be credited around August to September 2026.

Telangana Rythu Bharosa Scheme 2026

Rythu Bharosa is the current name of the farmer investment support scheme that was earlier known as Rythu Bandhu in Telangana. The state government renamed and restructured the scheme in January 2025 and increased the support amount from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 per acre per year.

Payment is made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the eligible farmer. Farmers do not need to submit a fresh application form every season because the scheme works on the basis of land records in Bhu Bharati.

For the 2025-26 financial year, the state government made a budget provision of Rs 18,000 crore for Rythu Bharosa. In February 2026, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the release of Rs 9,000 crore to farmers.
