Short Update
Kerala Government Agrees to PMAY Logo Requirement for Housing Projects

Kerala will now follow Union government guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). State officials will display the project logo in front of houses built through this scheme. This decision allows a 450 crore rupee agreement between the state and the Centre to move forward.
Funding and assistance details
Under this arrangement, 30,000 homeless families will get money help. The total support for each eligible person is 4 lakh rupees. This includes 1.50 lakh rupees from the Centre, 1 lakh rupees from the state, and the remaining 1.5 lakh rupees shared by the municipality and the person getting the house. The state government previously refused the logo requirement because they felt it affected the dignity of families. Now, the administration has accepted these terms so the project can continue.
