2,576 Finance Ministry-linked buildings solarised under PM Surya Ghar
Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, 2,576 of 4,144 government buildings linked to the Ministry of Finance were found feasible and have been solarised, with installed rooftop capacity of 61.50 MW.
Feasible capacity was 62.70 MW; the 1.20 MW difference is attributed to structural shading that makes some buildings only partly suitable for panels. NVVN was named the implementing agency, while organisations carried out installations under CAPEX or OPEX models.
