Kera Suraksha Insurance Scheme Application Form and Claim Form Download

Kera Suraksha Insurance Scheme 2026 is a group personal accident insurance scheme run by Coconut Development Board (CDB) under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. It has been providing insurance cover to coconut tree climbers, harvesters, Neera technicians and Friends of Coconut Tree (FoCT) trainees since 1 October 2014.

The scheme protects traditional coconut tree climbers and FoCT trainees against major and minor accidents while climbing and harvesting. Under the scheme, eligible people get accidental insurance cover up to ₹7 lakh and hospitalization cover up to ₹2 lakh for one year.

Earlier the accidental cover was only ₹5 lakh. Coconut Development Board increased it to ₹7 lakh, and the hospitalization cover now stands at ₹2 lakh. Coconut tree climbers aged between 18 and 65 can get the benefit by paying a beneficiary premium of ₹239 for one year. For trainees under the Friends of Coconut Tree training programme, the first year premium is fully borne by CDB.

Application Form of Kera Suraksha Insurance Scheme

Below are the steps to apply for Kera Suraksha Insurance Scheme 2026 started by Coconut Development Board:-

STEP 1 - Visit the official website of Coconut Development Board at https://coconutboard.gov.in/

STEP 2 - Click on the Application Forms tab on the homepage and open the Kera Suraksha Insurance Scheme application form. The form can be downloaded in English and Malayalam from the official website.

STEP 3 - Fill in all the required details in the form, including name of the coconut tree climber or trainee, address, phone number, name of nominee and other details.

STEP 4 - Get the filled form countersigned by Agriculture Officer, Panchayat President, CPF office bearers or CPC Director. Attach a copy of age proof along with the form.

STEP 5 - Send the duly filled and countersigned application form along with the premium payment, either through demand draft or online payment, to Chairman, Coconut Development Board, Kera Bhavan, SRV Road, Kochi - 682011, Kerala.
