Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 Online Registration, Dates, Cost, Route & Details

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 is being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Indian government in coordination with the Chinese government. The yatra is scheduled to take place from June to August 2026 through two routes, Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La Pass in Sikkim. Online registration for the trip opened on the official website at kmy.gov.in on 30 April 2026 and the last date to apply was 19 May 2026.

This year the yatra is being conducted in 20 batches of 50 pilgrims each, which means around 2,000 yatris will get a chance to undertake the sacred journey. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra involves trekking at high altitudes of up to 19,500 feet under tough conditions like extreme weather and rugged terrain. So, only medically fit persons should apply as it may prove risky for those who are not physically and medically fit.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 Online Registration / Application

Below is the complete procedure to make online Kailash Mansarovar Registration as specified by the Indian government. No physical documents, letters or faxes are required and the application is submitted fully online.

STEP 1: Firstly visit the official website at kmy.gov.in and read all the eligibility and conditions related to the yatra carefully.

STEP 2: At the homepage, click on the "यात्रा के लिए आवेदन करें (Applying for Yatra)" link.

STEP 3: Here new users can make online registration first using the "नए उपयोगकर्ता? रजिस्टर" tab and then make login as shown below:-

STEP 5: Here candidates can enter their name, date of birth, e-mail ID, password, mobile number and then press the "जमा करें (Submit)" button to complete the Kailash Mansarovar Trip online registration process and make login.

STEP 8: Here candidates can enter all their details accurately, upload a scanned passport-size photo (JPG, maximum 300 KB) and a passport PDF (maximum 500 KB), and submit the online application form to go to the Kailash Mansarovar Trip 2026 scheduled by the Indian government. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Dates 2026

The important dates related to this year's Kailash Mansarovar Trip are given below:-

• Online registration opened on 30 April 2026 on the official website kmy.gov.in.
• The last date for registration was 19 May 2026.
• The yatra is scheduled to take place from June to August 2026.
• The merit list and batch allocation were expected in May or June 2026.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Packages Cost

All the interested citizens can check the total package rates, that is the total fees incurred during the whole trip to Kailash Mansarovar, here. The estimated cost for the 2026 yatra has been revised by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand)

Estimated cost per person: Rs. 2.09 lakh. The duration of this route is about 22 days.

Nathu La (Sikkim)

Estimated cost per person: Rs. 3.31 lakh. The duration of this route is about 21 days.

A non-refundable confirmation amount of Rs. 5,000 is payable by selected yatris, to KMVN for the Lipulekh route or STDC for the Nathu La route. Other approximate expenses include medical tests at Delhi Heart and Lung Institute (Rs. 5,500), stress echo test if required (Rs. 2,500), Chinese visa fee (Rs. 1,800) and pool money for group activities (Rs. 4,000). All payments made are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person.

Who is Eligible for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026

All the applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to become eligible for KMY 2026:-

• Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• He or she must possess an Indian passport valid for a minimum of 6 months as on 1 September 2026.
• Applicant's age must lie between 18 and 70 years as on 1 January 2026.
• The Body Mass Index (BMI) of the candidate must be 25 or less. Moreover, applicants must be physically fit and medically healthy to undertake KMY Yatra 2026 for religious purpose.
• Foreign nationals are not eligible to apply. Therefore, all the OCI card holders are not eligible.

Selected yatris must carry the original Indian passport, 6 passport-size colour photographs, an indemnity bond on Rs. 100 stamp paper, an undertaking for helicopter evacuation in an emergency and a consent form for cremation of mortal remains on the Chinese side if required.

All the Kailash Mansarovar Yatris can either select both routes indicating priority or select only one of the routes. They will be allotted a route and batch through a computerized draw of lots. A group of two persons can also request to travel together, subject to eligibility.

KMY 2026 Selection Process & Helpline Number

The selection of applicants for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is done through a fair computer-generated, random, gender-balanced selection process. All the applicants are notified of their selection after the computerized draw through automated email or SMS.

After selection, each applicant has to pay the confirmation fee as detailed on the kmy.gov.in website in order to confirm their participation.
