Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Yojana Overview

It’s important to note that gas cylinder subsidies have both benefits and challenges. On the positive side, they make LPG more affordable for low-income households, reduce reliance on traditional cooking fuels like firewood or coal (which can have adverse health and environmental effects), and promote cleaner and safer cooking practices. However, subsidies can also be a burden on government finances, may lead to market distortions, and could inadvertently benefit higher-income groups who do not genuinely require assistance.
