Ganga Kalyana Scheme 2026 Online Application Process

Application for Ganga Kalyana Scheme is no longer filled through the old KMDC website form. KMDC has moved the process to a separate portal called Karnataka Online Application Management System, and applicants apply using their mobile number and OTP. Below is the process to apply online:-

STEP 1 - Open Karnataka Online Application Management System portal at kmdconline.karnataka.gov.in on mobile or computer browser.

STEP 2 - Click on login option, enter registered mobile number and verify it using OTP sent to the phone.

STEP 3 - After login, select Ganga Kalyana Scheme from the list of schemes and fill personal details, contact details, land holding details and bank account details in the form.

STEP 4 - Upload scanned copies of required documents such as caste or minority certificate, income certificate, Aadhaar card and land records, check the filled form carefully, and submit it.

Once submitted, the application goes to the district selection committee, and field officials carry out ground inspection of the land before the beneficiary list is finalized. Selected farmers get information through SMS on their registered mobile number. Application status can be tracked later at kmdconline.karnataka.gov.in/Portal/track.

Farmers who cannot apply online can also collect an offline application form from the district office of the Department of Agriculture or the local KMDC office and submit it there along with the required documents.

What is Karnataka Ganga Kalyana Yojane 2026

Under this scheme, irrigation facility is given to agricultural land by drilling a borewell or digging an open well, along with pump set and electrification. In Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Ramanagara, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Tumkur districts, where the ground water table is low, unit cost for an individual borewell project is around ₹3.75 lakh. For remaining districts of Karnataka, unit cost is around ₹2.25 lakh. The entire cost is treated as subsidy support, so the beneficiary farmer does not repay any amount for the borewell.

Lift irrigation facility is given where farmer land is close to a river, canal or other perennial water source, and water is drawn through a pipeline with pump motor and electrification. A group of minority farmers having land adjacent to each other can also apply together under the lift irrigation component of Ganga Kalyana Yojana 2026.

Eligibility for Ganga Kalyana Scheme 2026

To get benefit under this scheme, applicant should fulfil below eligibility conditions:-

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka and belong to a notified minority community, which includes Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Parsi and Buddhist community.
• Applicant should be a small or marginal farmer, with land holding generally between 1 acre 20 guntas and 5 acres.
• Age of applicant farmer should be between 18 to 55 years at the time of application.
• Annual family income from all sources should not be more than around ₹96,000, though this limit can vary slightly between rural and urban applicants and gets revised from time to time.
