Rajasthan RGHS Prescription Rules Updated

Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) officials have released new rules for medical prescriptions. From August 31, 2026, an empanelled doctor must personally check and sign every prescription. No other staff member or junior resident can sign these documents for the doctor.

Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore stated that inspections found unauthorized staff signing prescriptions. Doctors can use help for data entry or noting clinical details. Still, the doctor is fully responsible for diagnosis and treatment. Non-compliance may lead to claim rejection or disciplinary action under scheme rules.
