WHO Representative Reviews Rajasthan Cashless Health Scheme

Yvan JF Hutin, World Health Organisation representative to India, finished a two-day visit to Jaipur to look into Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana. During the visit, he met with state health officials to talk about potential technical help, including tracking diseases and training health workers.

Scheme review process

Hutin checked how the scheme works on the ground at a primary care centre and Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital. He reviewed the full patient process, from starting registration to the payment of cashless claims. He noted his appreciation for the progress made in money security for patients, specifically highlighting how the scheme helps families dealing with expensive medical procedures like bone marrow transplants.
