Tripura Healthcare Transformation Report 2022-2026

Tripura reached big goals in its health sector over the past four years. Through Niramay Arogya Initiatives, the state government expanded health buildings and improved how services reach people. A main point is the low Infant Mortality Rate of 15 per 1,000 live births, according to the September 2025 Sample Registration System Bulletin.

Healthcare expansion

The state has four medical colleges now, up from two in 2022. Also, the government helped primary healthcare by increasing sub-divisional hospitals to 15 and primary health centres to 122. By joining Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, citizens get better access to low-cost care, including complex procedures like kidney transplants. An agreement with AIIMS, New Delhi, also helps turn state hospitals into centres of excellence.
