PMVBRY: first-time workers can get up to ₹15,000

Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) gives eligible first-time employees in EPFO-covered jobs a one-time incentive equal to one month's EPF wage, capped at ₹15,000. Union Cabinet approved the scheme on 1 July 2025, with an outlay of ₹99,446 crore. Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana also gives eligible employers up to ₹3,000 a month for each qualifying additional employee.

Eligible jobs must be created between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027. Manufacturing establishments can receive employer support for four years; employers in other sectors can receive it for two years. Government targets are more than 3.5 crore jobs over two years, including 1.92 crore first-time employees. These are government targets, not independent estimates of jobs expected to be created.
