NHA reviews Ayushman Bharat health schemes

National Health Authority reviewed progress of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) at a two-day National Review Meeting that concluded in Kolkata.

Senior officials from States and Union Territories discussed coverage, healthcare delivery, financial protection and wider use of digital health services. They also discussed using technology, data analytics, automation and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, clarity, responsibility and health outcomes.

NHA CEO Dr Sunil Kumar Barnwal said the next phase should focus on better-quality care as well as expanding coverage. He said every rupee spent on healthcare must translate into better care for people.
