Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री किसान सहाय योजना) is a crop loss relief scheme run by the state government of Gujarat for farmers across the state. Farmers who lose 33% or more of their Kharif crop due to natural calamities get direct money support of ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 per hectare, with no premium to pay. The scheme is now applied through the dedicated Krushi Rahat Package portal at krp.gujarat.gov.in.
Money goes straight into the farmer's Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT. Launched on 10 August 2020, the scheme covers about 56 lakh farmers in Gujarat. It is also known as Krushi Sahay Yojana or the Krushi Rahat Package, and all three names point to the same relief system.
Gujarat Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana (MMKSY) 2026
Gujarat farmers often face crop damage when rain comes too early, too late, or not at all. Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana was made to give them quick cash support after such losses. Unlike the central government's PM Fasal Bima Yojana, where farmers pay a premium to get crop insurance, this Gujarat scheme charges no premium at all. The state pays for it from its own budget and the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
How to Apply for Kisan Sahay Yojana Online at krp.gujarat.gov.in
Applications open only after the government officially declares the affected talukas following a calamity. Do not apply before that notice, as early applications get rejected. Once the window is open for your taluka, you can apply online yourself or take help from the Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE) at your Gram Panchayat. Here is how the online process works.
STEP 1 - First check whether your Taluka has been officially notified by the government after the crop damage. You can confirm this at your Gram Panchayat or through local government announcements.
STEP 2 - Go to the dedicated Krushi Rahat Package portal at krp.gujarat.gov.in. You can also register through the iKhedut portal at ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in.
STEP 3 - Log in using SSO Gujarat and open the Krushi Sahay or crop loss relief application form. Enter your 7/12 land details, crop type, damaged area in hectares, and other crop damage information.
STEP 4 - Upload scanned copies of your Aadhaar card, 7/12 Utara, and bank passbook. Check all the details once and submit the form.
STEP 5 - After submitting, note down your Application Reference Number. You will need it to track your application status and payment later.
Farmers who cannot apply online can visit their nearest Gram Panchayat Office, Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE), or Common Service Centre (CSC), where the operator will fill and submit the form for them. The whole process is free.
Eligibility for Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana
All the 8-A holder farmer account holders registered in the revenue records across the state, and the recognized farmers under the Forest Right Act, are counted as beneficiaries. The farmer must have planted a Kharif crop, and the crop loss must be at least 33% caused by drought, heavy rainfall, or unseasonal rain. The applicant should be a farmer living in Gujarat and must hold a 7/12 Utara land record. The scheme covers a maximum of 4 hectares per farmer.
Documents Required
Keep these documents ready before you apply, as you will need to upload or show them during the process.
- Aadhaar card of the farmer, which is used for identity and DBT.
- 7/12 Utara, the land ownership record that proves the land is yours.
- Aadhaar-linked bank passbook, so the money reaches the correct account.
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number for OTP and SMS alerts when payment is sent.
Gujarat Kisan Sahay Yojana - Financial Support
Money support under the scheme depends on how much of the crop is damaged.
Loss of 33% to 60%: ₹20,000 per hectare.
Loss of more than 60%: ₹25,000 per hectare.
Support is paid up to a maximum of 4 hectares. So the highest possible amount a farmer can get is ₹1,00,000 at the higher rate. The money is sent straight to the Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT, with no cash and no middleman.
Farmers can also get this Gujarat relief along with their PM Fasal Bima Yojana claim for the same season, as the two are not treated as one and the same.
Beneficiary List and Survey Process
The beneficiary list is prepared by the Revenue Department after a proper field survey. The District Collector first prepares a list of talukas or villages whose crops are damaged due to drought, heavy rainfall, or non-seasonal rainfall, and shares it with the Revenue Department within 7 days. A special survey team then reviews the damage within 15 days. After the survey, the District Development Officer signs the order announcing the beneficiary farmers, split into two loss groups of 33% to 60% and more than 60%.
There is usually no public PDF with all farmer names due to privacy. The final list is sent to the Gram Panchayat, so farmers can check their name with the local Talati or Sarpanch, or track status online at krp.gujarat.gov.in using their Application Number or Aadhaar number.
Coverage: About 56 lakh farmers across the state are covered under the scheme.
Premium Amount: No premium is paid by the farmers to get crop cover. The state government pays for it on behalf of the farmers through its budget and the SDRF.
Latest Krushi Rahat Package Update
For the August and September 2025 unseasonal rain damage, the Gujarat government declared a relief package of around ₹10,000 crore. It covered about 136 talukas across 20 districts and more than 16,500 villages. DBT payments under this round started from November 2025, and farmers could check their status and payment on the krp.gujarat.gov.in portal.
