Haryana government's Ekmusht Niptan Yojana is a one-time settlement scheme for farmers who have overdue loans from Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS). Under this scheme, farmers who repay the full principal amount of their loan get a complete waiver of the interest and penalty charged on it. This decision is aimed at easing the money burden on farmers and supporting the agriculture sector in the state.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched this scheme in December 2025. It will stay open till March 31, 2026. Around 6,81,182 farmers and poor laborers will benefit, and interest of about ₹2,266 crore will be waived. Families of 2.25 lakh deceased farmers are also covered under a separate provision of ₹900 crore.
Haryana government has been giving loans to farmers through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS). Many farmers could not repay these loans on time, and the interest kept growing. This one-time settlement scheme gives them a chance to clear their old dues by paying only the principal amount.

Benefits of Ekmusht Niptan Yojana
The scheme gives farmers a clear path to become debt free and start farming again without old loan pressure. Once the principal amount is repaid, the whole interest and penalty is waived. After one month of repayment, farmers can also take a fresh crop loan in three installments for the next season. This helps them buy seeds, fertilizer, and other farm needs.
Families of deceased farmers can also get the same benefit. If the legal heirs repay the principal amount, the full interest is waived. This gives big relief to families who were facing money problems after the death of the earning member.
Other Haryana Farmer Schemes
Haryana government runs many other schemes to support farmers. Some of these are given below.
- MSP purchase of crops: The state government buys many crops at the minimum support price (MSP), which gives farmers a fair price for their produce.
- Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS): These societies give farmers loans and other financial services at low rates.
- Haryana Chara Bijai Yojana: A fodder cultivation scheme that supports farmers who grow fodder crops.
