Haryana Har Hith Store Yojana 2024 Employment Scheme for Youth | Opening of Chain of Grocery Shops – Apply / Get Franchise

Haryana Har Hith Store Scheme to Tackle Unemployment in the state: Haryana government led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has launched Har Hith Store Yojana 2024. In this Har Hith Store employment scheme, a chain of grocery shops will be opened in rural and urban areas. This scheme would provide job opportunities to unemployed youths to sell best quality daily-needs products at reasonable prices. Youth can apply to get franchise of grocery stores and thus become job givers rather than job seekers.

Har Hith Store Announcement in Haryana Budget 2023-24

Finance Minister has presented Haryana Budget Speech 2023-24 on 23 February 2023. While presenting the Haryana Budget 2023-24, FM said “The opening of HarHith stores with product and logistics support provided by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation has proved to be beneficial to youth and provided employment and source of income through local entrepreneurship. Looking at the success of the venture, I propose to set a target of opening additional 1500 new HarHith in 2023-24”.

What is Haryana Har Hith Store Yojana 2024

In order to encourage youth towards self employment, Haryana CM started Har Hith Store Scheme. The major objective is to tackle the menace of unemployment in the state which is on a rise. Under Haryana Har Hith Store Yojana Phase 1, around 2000 stores would be opened in the state to provide job opportunities to youth. Out of these, around 1500 stores will be opened in rural areas and 500 in urban areas in the first phase. In the second phase, around 5000 stores would be opened in the state.

Opening of Chain of Grocery Shops in Har Hith Store Scheme

In the Haryana Har Hith Store Scheme, the state govt. will open chain of grocery shops. Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited (HAICL) will allot franchise as mentioned below:-

• One franchise of 200 sq ft. area for a village with a population of 3,000,
• 1 franchise for at-least one for each ward in the municipal corporation,
• One Franchise for at least one in a group of wards having a cumulative population of 10,000 in municipal committee/council.

The HAICL has signed terms of trade (TOT) with 51 corporate houses which would provide their quality products to these stores, enabled with a complete IT support system for smooth operations.

Har Hith Store Employment Scheme Impact

With the opening of Har Hith stores, the state government’s model of making youths job givers instead of job seekers will also be accomplished. CM Manohal Khattar has inaugurated the first store under Har Hith Store Yojana in Pachkula region on 2 August 2021.

Major Beneficiaries of Har Hith Store Scheme

Har Hith stores will provide a platform to the following beneficiaries to increase their business:-

• Youth franchisees
• Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)
• Government cooperative institutions
• Farmer producer organisations (FPOs)
• Self help groups (SHGs)

Haryana Grocery Shops Franchise Policy Launch

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also launched the Haryana Grocery Shops Franchise Policy. Under this policy, all those interested youths who wants to open grocery stores can apply as per the terms and conditions.

Eligibility Criteria for Har Hith Store Franchisee Partner

In order to increase entrepreneurship, business resources and self-employment in the State of Haryana, the HAICL has fixed the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for either an urban or rural franchisee as below:

Preference Group for Har Hith Store

Grocery Store Franchise apply online process begins in the Haryana state and the following group will get preference in getting dealership:-

• People in the age group of 18 to 35 years
• Women
• Persons with disabilities
• Applicants verified under Mukhyamantri Parivar Uthan Yojana
• Young members of families having annual income less than Rs. 1.80 lakh
• Applicants verified under Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) scheme

Tacking Unemployment through Har Hith Store Yojana

A monthly income of at least Rs. 15,000 will be ensured for those verified under the Mukhyamantri Parivar Uthan Yojana and operating these stores. As per the sale provision made in the Har Hith store scheme, the franchisee partner who sells products worth Rs. 1,50,000 will earn a marginal profit of 10%, that is Rs. 15,000.

If any youth whose verified family annual income is less than Rs. 1.80 lakh and is unable to earn Rs. 15,000 in the first six months, then the state government will provide financial help. If the youth is able to earn Rs. 12,000, the government will give him Rs. 3,000 as financial aid. If the income is above Rs. 13,000, the government will provide compensation of Rs. 2,000 and so on. The state government will ensure that his minimum income comes to Rs. 15,000.

Loan Facility under Haryana Har Hith Store Scheme

If the applicant of the Har Hith Store franchise is financially weak, then the state government will provide loan facility under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana without any guarantee. Making Haryana “Berojgar Mukt, Rozgar Yukt” by 2024 is the target of the state government and opening of these stores is a step in the direction of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
