Ayushman Bharat Haryana Yojana Details
Ayushman Bharat Haryana Yojana is an attempt to move from a sectoral and segmented approach of health service delivery to a complete need-based health care service. Ayushman Bharat aims to take up new steps to fully address health (covering prevention, promotion and ambulatory care) at primary, secondary and tertiary level. Ayushman Bharat uses a continuum of care approach, with two related components.
Components of Ayushman Bharat Haryana Yojana
1st Component: The first component is about creating 1,50,000 Health and Wellness Centres which bring health care closer to the homes of the people. These centres provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC), covering both maternal and child health services and non-communicable diseases, including free essential drugs and diagnostic services. The first Health and Wellness Centre was launched by the Prime Minister at Jangla, Bijapur, Chhattisgarh on 14 April 2018.
2nd Component: The second component is the National Health Protection Mission (NHPM), now known as Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), which gives health protection cover to poor and at-risk families. The Health and Wellness Centres play a key role in creating awareness about AB-PMJAY, screening for non-communicable diseases and follow-up of hospitalisation cases.
These two far-reaching steps under Ayushman Bharat will build a New India. This new scheme, which is being run at a large scale, will bring a big change in India's health sector. It will help India use its demographic dividend, improve productivity and well-being, and avoid wage loss and poverty.
Beneficiary Level Benefits of Ayushman Bharat Haryana Yojana
