Report: UP weighs ₹50,000 support for women
Livemint, citing News18, reports that Uttar Pradesh is considering ₹50,000 support for eligible women. The figure is unconfirmed; the chief minister has not specified an amount.
A senior BJP functionary told News18 that options include a one-time DBT payment or routing support through existing schemes such as Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana or Nirashrit Mahila Pension Yojana. Eligibility and the payment method are still undecided.
