Hardoi tops UP with 1,385 scheme marriages
Hardoi recorded 1,385 marriages under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana in Uttar Pradesh in 2026-27 so far, the highest among districts, according to the report.
Social Welfare Department figures for October 2026 put the state total at 28,833 marriages against a 2026-27 target of 72,540. The department had received 1,16,668 applications; 34,845 were approved and 11,679 were found ineligible.
Current support is Rs 1 lakh per couple: Rs 64,000 to the bride's bank account, Rs 21,000 for wedding gifts and Rs 15,000 for ceremony arrangements.
