UP declares two free LPG cylinders a year for poor families
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared two free LPG cylinders a year for poor families, one around Diwali and one during Holi, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY).
PMUY customers must complete Aadhaar-based biometric authentication to get scheme benefits, including applicable LPG subsidies. The requirement took effect on October 1, 2026.
