Uttar Pradesh leads with 9,53,201 PM Surya Ghar installations
Uttar Pradesh ranked first nationally in rooftop solar installations under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with 9,53,201 plants installed by November 5, 2026.
UPNEDA Director Ravinder Kumar said the state added more than 75,031 installations in October 2026. Its installed rooftop solar capacity stood at 3,167.57 MW.
Central and Uttar Pradesh governments had provided subsidies totalling more than ₹8,454.5 crore: ₹6,254.5 crore from the Centre and more than ₹2,200 crore from the state.
