Ujjain clerk caught in alleged ₹20,000 Ujjwala case bribe
Ujjain Lokayukta police caught ADM office clerk Rohit Gothwal on November 5, 2026, while he allegedly accepted ₹20,000 for a favourable decision in a case linked to a fraudulent gas connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Complainant Brijesh Vishwakarma told Lokayukta officials on October 29 that a connection had been issued to another person using his mother's documents without her consent. The Food Department investigated and referred the matter to the ADM's office. Vishwakarma alleged the clerk demanded the bribe to resolve the case.
