Jharkhand proposes Mahila Kisan Khushhali Yojana for women farmers

Jharkhand government is developing Mahila Kisan Khushhali Yojana to help women farmers earn more through integrated farming. The scheme connects agriculture with tasks like animal husbandry, fisheries, and horticulture to create income work all year.

Scheme details

The model focuses on integrated farming on one acre of land for each woman farmer. The department is choosing three or four scientific models that can include goat rearing, piggery, duck farming, dairy, fish farming, and horticulture.

The government is considering a small payment from eligible people to encourage interest, and plans to refund this money after the work is finished. The final proposal needs approval from the state cabinet.
