Jharkhand sets 90-day plan for CBSE affiliation of 100 new CM Schools of Excellence

Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) has made a 90-day action plan to develop and get CBSE affiliation for 100 new CM Schools of Excellence (CM-SOE) in Ranchi. These schools will start classes in the next session.

Main focus areas for school development

JEPC held a state-level orientation for principals and headmasters at the Dhurwa auditorium, Ranchi. The meeting covered how to put the Adarsh Vidyalaya Yojana vision into practice, how to get CBSE affiliation, and ways to improve both academic and physical facilities. Heads of existing CM Schools of Excellence shared what they learned.

JEPC experts laid out a detailed plan for running and developing the new CM Schools of Excellence. Dr Manohar Lal, Programme Specialist, PMU, went over the standards, documents and academic needs required for CBSE affiliation. Principals were told to follow the set timelines so the schools are ready for the CBSE process.

Infrastructure and technology upgrades

The orientation also looked at physical infrastructure needs. Civil Works Manager Kiran Sinha talked about upgrading classrooms, raising safety levels, building better boundary walls, and other structural work needed to meet CM School of Excellence standards.

Technology in education was another main topic. ACP Sanjeev Kumar Gupta explained how to use digital tools well in schools. The plan covers stronger smart classrooms, ICT labs, digital learning material, and tech-based teaching methods.

Vocational education and skill training

The new CM Schools of Excellence will also offer vocational education and skill training. Vocational Education Nodal Officer Amit Kumar spoke about setting up special vocational labs and bringing in job-focused skill courses.

Lessons from existing CM Schools

Principals and headmasters from working CM Schools of Excellence shared their experience with the new school heads. They talked about problems during development, getting the community involved, and making institutional changes. Their stories helped new heads see the real challenges and ways to grow a school.
