UP launches Sardar Patel skill and employment zones, first in 5 districts

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Kaushal Prashikshan Evam Rozgar Kshetra Vikas Yojana on 31 October 2026 at Lok Bhavan, Lucknow. Under it, every district will get a Skill and Employment Zone where youth can register, get training and find a job under one roof.

First centres will come up in Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi and Gautam Buddh Nagar. Next come all 18 divisional headquarters, then the remaining districts. Work at each site starts once land is ready.

Training will match each person's interest and qualification. After that, the zone links them to factories and companies. People who want to work abroad get language classes and country-specific training, with embassy help for placement. Older job seekers can register too.

Registration happens at the zone centres. No online form or start date for training is announced yet. Other state schemes for youth are in the Yogi Adityanath schemes list.
