Assistive Devices Distributed to 671 Beneficiaries in Kohima

Kohima District administration and Social Welfare Office gave out assistive devices to 671 people on August 17, 2026. This support included 27 people getting help under ADIP Scheme and 644 seniors receiving items through Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana. The total cost of these devices was around Rs 62.24 lakh.

Device distribution details

Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education, gave out items like wheelchairs, hearing aids, and walkers. He said community support is very important to make sure everyone gets help. These efforts support the dignity of Divyangjan and elderly residents. Officials are now organizing more distribution drives in Chiephobozou and Jakhama to reach all eligible people.
