₹20,632.77 crore spent on Karnataka guarantee schemes in Bengaluru
Figures released by the GBA Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee show ₹20,632.77 crore spent on Karnataka's five guarantee schemes within Greater Bengaluru Authority limits. Statewide spending reached ₹1,54,861.58 crore. The figures cover spending since the schemes began in 2023, with scheme totals updated up to different months in 2026.
The committee is proposing door-to-door re-verification of Gruha Lakshmi recipients, using biometric or facial checks through a web and mobile app. An estimated ₹20 crore has been proposed, and the plan is with the government for Cabinet approval.
