This scheme covers a wide range of agro-based business activities. You can set up enterprises in areas like agro processing, food processing, cold storage, milk processing, cattle feed, poultry feed, fish feed, custom hiring centers, tissue culture, pulse mills, flour mills, oil mills, rice mills, bakeries, spice making, seed grading, vegetable nurseries, and other agriculture-linked industry and service projects.

The scheme is implemented through 14 departments of the state government, with the MSME Department acting as the nodal agency for coordination and target setting. This means you apply through whichever department best matches the type of business you want to start.

Benefits

The financial support under this scheme comes in three forms: margin money (capital support), interest subsidy, and guarantee fee coverage. Here is a full breakdown of what you can get.

For projects from ₹10 lakh to ₹2 crore, general category applicants get 15% of the capital cost of plant and machinery as margin money, up to a maximum of ₹12,00,000. BPL category applicants get 20% of the capital cost, up to a maximum of ₹18,00,000. For projects below ₹10 lakh, general category applicants get 15% of the project cost up to ₹1,00,000, while BPL, SC/ST, OBC, Women, Minorities, and Disabled applicants get 30% of the project cost up to ₹2,00,000.

Special provisions are also available. Liberated nomadic and semi-nomadic tribe applicants can get up to 30% of the project cost, with a maximum of ₹3,00,000. Bhopal gas tragedy victim family members are entitled to an extra 20%, up to ₹1,00,000 more on top of their regular support.

Interest Subsidy: Male applicants get 5% interest subsidy per year on the capital cost, while women entrepreneurs get 6% per year. This subsidy is available for a maximum of 7 years, with an upper cap of ₹5,00,000 per year. The guarantee fee is also covered at the prevailing rate for up to 7 years through the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme (CGTMSE).

Eligibility

  • Permanent resident of MP: You must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.

How to Apply Online

The entire application process is done online through the MPOnline MSME portal. Here is how to do it step by step:

STEP 1 - Go to the official portal at msme.mponline.gov.in and look for the application link for Mukhya Mantri Krishak Udyami Yojana on the homepage.

STEP 2 - A list of departments associated with this scheme will appear on screen. Choose the department that matches the type of business you want to start.

STEP 3 - If you are a new user, click on the registration or sign-up option. Fill in your name, mobile number, and create a password. Enter the captcha code and click submit to complete registration.

STEP 4 - After registration, log in to the portal using your mobile number and password. Fill in the complete application form with your personal details, business plan, and bank details.

STEP 5 - Upload all required documents and submit your application. Your loan case will be sent online directly to the bank for approval. You will receive an update about your application status within 15 days.
