Madhya Pradesh government launched MP Mukhyamantri Krishak Udyami Yojana to help farmer sons and daughters set up new enterprises. The scheme offered financial support ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 crore for new business projects. Applications for this scheme were accepted online at msme.mponline.gov.in.
This scheme has now been merged into Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana by the Madhya Pradesh government. New applicants who want self-employment loan support should apply under the merged Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana instead of the old Krishak Udyami Yojana.
MP Mukhyamantri Krishak Udyami Yojana Overview
MP Mukhyamantri Krishak Udyami Yojana was started on 1 August 2014 by the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The scheme was made for farmer sons and daughters of the state so that they could start their own business or industry with working capital support from the state government.
The scheme was run by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department of Madhya Pradesh. It gave loans to farmer sons and daughters to establish new enterprises. The minimum project cost was Rs 50,000 and the maximum was Rs 2 crore.
Under the scheme, the state government provided margin money support and interest subsidy to eligible farmer sons and daughters. The benefit was given only for setting up new enterprises and not for expanding an existing business.
Since the scheme has been merged into Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, fresh applications are now handled under the new merged scheme. The current Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is Mohan Yadav.
